Ronnaskolan

Ronnaskolan is a dual-parallel F-9 school with over 600 students, including an adapted primary school and a municipal special education group. Safety, relationships, and an accessible learning environment are prerequisites for students' development and learning. The learning should focus on the students' strengths, and based on that, the school should work proactively and preventively to provide students with the conditions they need for a successful school experience.
At Ronnaskolan, we are working to develop new strategies for learning, creating space for teachers to work on teaching, follow-up, and qualitative formative assessment. We do this, among other things, by working in a co-teaching model in almost all theoretical subjects and in smaller classes within the practical aesthetic subjects.
We have about 90 employees, ranging from janitors, peer supporters, teachers, and other staff who together view the student's school day as a whole where all students are everyone's students.

For the spring term of 2026, we are looking for a substitute for one of our teachers who will be on parental leave.

The position is at the adapted primary school, and we are looking for someone who currently has a teaching license as a primary school teacher F-3 and has a degree as a special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities.
 

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for the entire teaching process together with other teachers for the students who study subject areas and those who study subjects.
You understand the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating, while also being based on research and proven methods.
You plan, organize, and implement teaching individually and together with your colleagues.
You are flexible and have good collaboration skills and a willingness to work together with other staff to help students reach their full potential.
Together with others, you create a classroom environment characterized by safety, trust, and respect.

Teachers in the adapted primary school are part of a work team where you, together with your colleagues, plan, teach, guide, and document based on the curriculum.
You organize and lead lessons that are adapted for students with intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and various syndromes to provide good conditions for learning.
You collaborate closely with colleagues regarding teaching and planning of the activities.

- You are interested in working with students with disabilities and can adapt your teaching to this target group.

Requirements:
- You are a licensed primary school teacher
- You have a special education degree with a focus on intellectual disabilities
- You are well acquainted with the adapted primary school's curriculum
- You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

Meritorious:
- You can work with and write additional adaptations within the adapted primary school area
- Several years of experience in the profession
- You have knowledge and experience of alternative augmentative communication with sign support as well as compensatory teaching materials.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, but the requirement that you are a licensed primary teacher and special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities will be prioritized.
